The Little Girl's Tears

Once there was a little girl who was very sad. There were many reasons for the sorrow she bore, which seemed to weigh heavier and heavier with each passing day. When her grief was so much that she could not bear it alone, she went and sat down in the middle of a wooded clearing and let her tears fall among the grass.

She was so exhausted from being sad for so long, that she fell asleep against her arm.

When she woke, the clearing had become a meadow, filled with flowers all bright with the dew that had once been her tears.

She wiped her eyes and smiled, as she sat in the midst of the flowers, that from her sorrow had grown something so beautiful.
